| Choose your location well as it is going to determine your living environment |

The geographical location of your place of residence will need to be carefully considered, and will need to correspond to your needs and of course to your building plot budget, not forgetting to take into account road networks and rail and air connections. A good location will be a key factor in maximizing the value of your asset.
Think, too, about proximity to the services you're going to be needing, like public transport, neighbourhood shops, and sports and healthcare facilities.
Also take into account the style of house you like and how it will fit in with the natural surroundings and other buildings.
| Choose your building plot well as this will determine the way your house is positioned |

When choosing between several different building plots, take into account the way they face, and use planning documents to check the following criteria: any conditions on the positioning of the house, the presence of public utilities (mains water, gas, sewerage), the cost of local rates, and any covenants or easements.
